MG Ballard Return Policy

MG Ballard Designs is dedicated to maintaining customer satisfaction to the maximum possible standards.  We want your experience with us to be positive and rewarding. 

Buying from us is unconventional in the sense that our garments are made-to-order, not sitting on a shelf in a stock room.  In light of this, once a garment is made for you it is not returnable for a refund.  However, in the event that any unworn garment does not meet your expectations due to a verifiable mistake on the part of MG Ballard Designs or based on issues of quality, it may be returned for merchandise credit.  All return requests must be made within 5 days of order receipt and returned to us within 10 days. 

Once a return authorization has been received, you must pack your return and include the claim form with your shipment.  Shipping fees will not be credited.  A merchandise credit will be placed in an account for you that is the equivalent of the cost of the garment.  Merchandise credits may be redeemed for a period of six months.

Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, stained, worn, or missing embellishments may not be returned.  This also applies to garments that smell of perfume, tobacco or other odors.  

Please read the following  as they relate to your overall expectations and our return policy:

Size Concerns:  You should take care to order the correct size based on your measurements and OUR sizing charts only.  In the fashion industry, there are varying standards in regards to sizing and the size you need in our garments may be different from what you wear in garments made by other manufacturers.   This is why we encourage you to call us so that we can work with you to determine your correct size.  Requests for returns based on sizes where it is determined that the customer ordered the wrong size will not be honored.  Please also note that, although we will make adjustments in sleeve length, jacket length, etc.,  garments in our collections are NOT customized to a customer’s specific measurements.   

Cancellations and Changes  in the Order: By law, you have three days from the date you submit your order to make changes or cancel.  After the three days, orders are processed and all payments are non-refundable.

Leather Characteristics:  Leather, although classified as a textile, is an animal skin which is subject to blemishes, scarring and other natural occurrences.  These create inconsistencies in the textures and colors of the finished hides.  These are not defects, but characteristics of genuine leather.  Leather will stretch slightly with time, but should be bought to fit too tight.  A leather garment that is too tight may tear. 

Design Concerns: We allow our customers flexibility in selecting the colors (and in some case the fabrics) that their garments can be made in.  However, in a case where we feel a customer's request is not going to reflect the character of our company's products, we maintain the right to refuse the order.  

Design Alterations:  We can also do alterations in our designs or custom designs, however extra charges and all return policies apply.

Cleaning Concerns: leather should be dry cleaned using appropriate methods for leather.  We recommend that you identify a local dry cleaning establishment with experience in cleaning leather.   MG Ballard Designs will not be held liable for mistakes made by dry cleaners.
